William Scott Retrospective
This is a Group of Paintings taken from various online sources of artist William Scotts work. All the pictures were of paintings present in the gallery. I thought it was all pretty useful in regards to the process and the evolution that Scott when through.
The paintings themselves though I’m not a fan of, I can really appreciate the skill of the painter but as mentioned by the painter himself in the short film that ran alongside the gallery I did find them dull.
I did hear someone in the film (I didn’t make a not of who it was) mention that his work is considered so great as it provokes a strong reaction you’ll either love it or hate it.Personally I think this applies to most things in life so I don’t know if ill really except that but I guess I do appreciate the sentiment.
