Im trying to paint on different support, in the case linen. I have a whole sheet of it but I tore up little bits to practice on. Its not great for small pieces, its impossible to get any detail so I’m going to stretch a meter of it or so to try out a bigger piece.
The outcomes aren’t great but I quite like it un-primed. Its a lot thicker than cotton and takes ages to paint oil and it soaks in ink, but some of the effects are quite pleasing with the combination especially the hair on the portrait.
I dont know what this is ment to be, I pushed it too far. It kind of looks like a vegetable person. I was kind of wondering what it is whilst I was painting it. I might just forget it exists.
